Our state-of-the-art electronic locking system offers flexible and functional access control with a wide choice of software options. Installation is fast, self contained and straight forward. An access control system that uses distributed intelligence in both the lock and the key to communicate wirelessly with PC based SALTO programming software that makes lock re-programming or re-keying a thing of the past.

Data carriers have encoded information saved on the chip and when swiped past the fixed readers the information on the data carrier is then verified and access is gained. If the information is not verified then access to the facility is unauthorised.

Both the key and locks can be programmed to allow or restrict access to different parts of the building. And the information stored in the key card can be transferred to a computer to provide precise audit trail information about where and when each lock has been used including the date, time and whether access was allowed or denied.

Networked Electronic Handle Sets

Electronic handle sets are the new access control platform from SALTO enabling users to control and manage a greater range of applications than ever before. The handle sets need no hard wiring and provide a totally wire free networked electronic door locking solution with a great range of features.

SALTO identification media are available in a wide range of versions to suit individual user's needs. Whatever carrier you choose, all work effortlessly and include Contact Smart Card, Contactless Proximity Cards and iButton technologies. All identification media are easy to use, SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) (Click here for a movie on how the SVN could work for you) compatible and are protected and encrypted in order to provide high levels of data security. There are a range of data carriers available which include smart cards, key fobs and wristbands.





Compatible with TI-RFid HF proximity radio frequency identification.
Mifare, PicoPass, i-Class, i-button and contact smartcard versions also available.
The lock can be opened from the inside.
Simple offline installation is possible on any type of door, including those that have a narrow frame.
Covers door thickness between 30-115mm.
Low battery power indication monitored through the network.

Electronic Cylinder

The electronic SALTO thumbturn cylinder is an excellent access control solution for those doors where fitting an electronic handleset is not possible, like for instance an antique door of a protected building. The exchange of data on changes of authorisation and on events is carried out by the means of the virtual network of the respective identification media.

The cylinder can always be opened from the inside.
Available in RFID
Easy offline instalation for all types of doors (also tubular steel doors).
Free access mode available.
Emergency opening by means of PPD.
No loss of data and time when changing batteries.

Wall Readers

The WRM1000 & WRM2000 are SALTO wall readers. They read data from the carriers and then communicate it to the control units. They also allow for updating of the carriers via the SALTO Virtual Network technology.

Reading by presentation of the RFID card or contact with the i-button.
Can be flush or surface mounted depending on the base.
WRM1000 to be used with CU2010.
WRM2000 to be used with CU5000, CU50EN and CU50ENSVN Control Units.
Red and green coloured LED to indicate lock authorisation, only WRM2000.
Blue coloured LED to indicate carrier updating.
Built in heater.
Can be combined with Personal Identification Number (PIN) code pad for dual identification, only WRM2000.
Compatible with standard electrical back boxes for easy fitting.

Control Units

There are a range of control units which are available. They all suit different wall readers and have differing features and benefits.

Allows for control of relay switched locking devices, such as electronic locks, electric strikes, magnets, barriers, lifts, shutters, automatic door openers, bollards and more.

I-Lockers

The SALTO i-Locker electronic locker lock is designed to provide a high level of security protection for lockers and cabinets etc. It features a large twist operated locking turn for ease of use, and the access reader is built into the outside escutcheon. The locking mechanism, electronic components and battery pack are all located on the inside of the door, safe from potential manipulation or vandalism.

Card, wristband, key fob or bracelet RFID formats can be used with the iLocker. The iLocker is perfect for controlling access to lockers, cupboards, cabinets, cabins, boxes, show cases where access control and full audit trialling are required, where valuables such as medical drugs, electronic equipment and musuem pieces are stored.



Visible locked / unlocked indicator.
Optional inside turn available for walk in cabins, cupboards, toilets etc, where the door can be opened from the inside.
Full access control rights programmed via software.
Simple offline instalation is possible on many types of small and thin doors.
Lock with large security deadbolt is built into the iLocker.

Energy Saving Devices

The SALTO in room energy saving device (ESD) helps to save up to 65% of a hotels rooms electricity consumption and unlike standard (magnetic stripe) energy savers, only authorised SALTO key cards will switch on the lights. Any other card (frequent flyer, business card etc) will not be recognised.

It is also available in a connected on-line version, which as well as energy saving indicates in real time the presence of guests or staff in a room, logging the information directly into the hotel PC. When a guest enters the room and inserts their card into the ESD it switches on all electrical equipment. When staff enter the room for cleaning or maintenance, the ESD recognises their staff card and switches on only the electrical equipment they need to accomplish their work. The TV, air conditioning and mini bar are switched off or locked - saving energy.

Access Control Management

SALTO Pro Access Software has been developed to create a powerful Access Control Management tool. Its main features allow you to program in access time zones for each user, take into account different company calenders, obtain audit-trails from the door to see who has passed through it, and it includes special functions like automatic changes of the door status, antipass back and relay management.

Pro Access can manage large numbers of door installations, and as most access related information is written on the credential, the management of the doors becomes, in most cases, a management of the credential.

The SALTO Portable Programming Device is the messenger between the computer and the lock. The SALTO encoder is a compact device which reads, encodes and updates cards.
