FEIG ELECTRONIC GmbH has developed a RFID device agent for the OBID i-scan® UHF reader ID ISC.LRU2000 with optional I/O-extension board, which was validated by IBM on 7th of September 2007.

With this device agent, all UHF Long Range Reader variants by FEIG ELECTRONIC can be connected with the IBM WebSphere RFID premises server v 6.0. This WebSphere RFID Premises Server provides the IBM middleware infrastructure to apply RFID solutions within various industries and applications, such as EPR or payment systems.

"With the RFID device agent for UHF readers by FEIG ELECTRONIC, that supports inventory and GPIO profiles of the readers, we allow our customers the seamless integration of their RFID data into their business processes, arranged by IBM middleware", states Andreas Low, Marketing Manager of FEIG ELECTRONIC GmbH.

Adaption of the RFID device agent for further reader variants and requirement profiles are available on request.

Development of the RFID device agent was the result of a cooperation with MicroDoc Computersysteme GmbH, Germany.
