X-ident™ Technology represented in Australia by Electro-Com is a manufacturer of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) labels, tickets and tags, for the automatic identification and tracking of objects and for access control systems. Products are marketed under the brand name IQ-Paper®.

X-ident™ technology has the longest experience in RFID-Smart Labels and guarantees a continuous product development in R&D and strong customer oriented service. Furthermore the production capacity is given for up to 80 Mio Tags, Labels or Tickets per year, at a highest quality level by a full automatic outgoing inspection.

X-ident™ technology is well known as a world-wide leader in the manufacturing of RFID smart labels and tickets.
Today X-ident offers a wide range of smart labels, tags and tickets under the brand name of IQ-paper®.

An RFID-system consists of a transponder and a read/write unit. Both have internal intelligence and an antenna which receives, sends and stores data. The read/write unit sends out a signal causing the transponder to respond and transfer its own signal, containing an encoded information. The transponder signal is decoded in the read/write unit and sent to a selected control unit (e.g. host computer). IQ-Paper® is based on 13.56 MHz technologies and UHF technology (918-926 MHz in Australia, 868 MHz in Europe and 915 MHz in USA), both of which are suitable for any application needing smart labels. The necessary components (Integrated Circuits and antennas) are specially chosen to fit the needs of mass market applications to optimize cost and performance.

X-Ident UHF labels are available in both paper and film labels. The film labels are extremely robust and resistant and suitable for harsh environmental conditions.

UHF paper labels are universally usable RFID Labels and can be used in a broad range of applications, for example, tagging of cardboard packaging.
